SAMSUNG UE55ES8005 Fading horisontal lines - problem

Hi,

I have this SAMSUNG UE55ES8005, now suddenly we have horizontal lines. See pictures.

Double lines, and test pictures show that the picture is fine in the one side and get worse and worse towards the other side

I have sourced a new TCON module, i worked for 10 hours then the problem was back again. I have search for the problem isolating left and right side and found that the problem is from the left side. All sigbals and voltages has been tested on the thin bottom PCB, i see problem on the VGL line which should be -7.5V stabel but there are pulses pulling in the stable line. Seems to be 2.5ms pulses - some framing error ??? I tried to cut -7.5V on TCON board and source -7.5V extarnally but this did not help either.

I also tried with cooling spray on all IC, no help either.

Frame was remowed and i have tried to push on all COBs - not help either - any ideas on how to go from here?

SAMSUNG boards inside:

POWER: BN44-00523B

MAINBOARD: BN41--01800A

TCON: BN41-01790C / BN95-00582C

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards

Morten

OK, I have found the video

PHILIPS 32PFL3506H/12 no picture on the TV screen. just a lot of lines
But still i need to know which lines to cover with tape - thank you 🙂

Kind regards

Morten

OK, did some more research from your video and found schematic for the philips.

I see that you cover some of the clk and control pins :

Could you please maybe help which pins to cover on the TCON board connector

The problem is on the CON_1 side

Hi Repairalltv:

Yes its working now, tried different combinations with various tape withs and locations. When i fist thourgt it was working there was an area with a big dark spot on the defective side. I tried again for around 30 mins until i finally found a working solution.

Thank you very much for your support and keep up the good work with Youtube videos 🙂

Attached is a picture with the working TV.

Merry Christmas 🙂

Kind regards

Morten
